Week 1 – Orientation and N4 review

Objective: review N4 vocabulary and grammar and build a foundation for N3.

·      Lesson 1 (Orientation)

·      Content: explain the structure, scoring and pass criteria of the JLPT N3 and share the 3‑month study plan. Introduce how to practice time management.

·      Activities: solve a short sample test to check current ability (vocabulary, grammar, reading) and list weak points.

• Lesson 2 (Review of N4 grammar and vocabulary)

·      Content: review the basic particles taught at N4 (は, が, を, に, で, etc.), verb and adjective conjugations, and basic sentence patterns such as ～と思います and ～ましょう.

·      Activities: use review worksheets and conversation practice. Summarize basic verbs and expressions necessary for N3.

• Lesson 3 (Introduction to N3 Grammar ① – cause and reason)

·      Content: learn the differences among “～ので／～から”, “～ために”, “～せいで” and “～おかげで”.

·      Materials: TRY! N3 Chapter 1 Unit 1

·      Activities: read sample sentences and work in pairs to describe personal events using these patterns.
