·      Lesson 22 (Grammar ⑭ – unexpected results and concession)

·      Content: patterns expressing unexpected or concessive results such as “~わりに”, “~くせに”, “~にしては”, “~たところで”, “~ものの”, and “~のに”.

·      Materials: TRY! N3 Chapter 5 Unit 2

·      Activities: create examples describing unexpected results in one’s own or others’ behaviour; find concessive expressions in reading passages.

 

  • Lesson 23 (Grammar ⑮ – conditional expressions ②)

·      Content: patterns like “~としても”, “~にしても”, “~にしろ” and “~にせよ” which express hypothetical conditions and concession.

·      Materials: TRY! N3 Chapter 5 Unit 3

·      Activities: debates including hypothetical and concessive statements; multiple‑choice grammar exercises.

 

  • Lesson 24 (Vocabulary booster ④ – emotion expressions)

·      Content: adjectives and adverbs expressing emotions (e.g., happy, regretful, relieved, irritated, disappointed) and onomatopoeia/mimetic words.

·      Activities: pick out emotion expressions from comics or dialogues and practice using them; play a game with onomatopoeia cards.
