Blooms for a Celebration

Round flower crests in red and white on black, and between them the character 寿, kotobuki, in gold: a single sign for celebration and long happiness. Half of the ground is left plain, so the pattern reads quietly.

The obi was worn on someone's bright days, then remade by hand. Slip a bottle inside and a gift becomes an occasion; or stand it on a shelf and let the crests brighten the room.
