On black, chevron lines stack up, layer over layer, in vermilion, orange, yellow-green and white. A shape that repeats in steady order has a calm to it, like a beat you can lean on.
Tied again and again over the years, the obi was then reworked by hand, and this is the only piece from its cloth. For someone building something now: may the ground under your feet hold firm.
